November 2006

We had a great time visiting our parents in Boone, North Carolina. Chuck’s sister Kim, husband Mike and kids Eric and Alan drove up from Jacksonville to visit at the beginning of our trip. David really enjoyed spending time with his cousins, & Aunt and Uncle (and so did Chuck & I!).
This is Eric and Alan’s new dog Charley. An Aussie Doodle. What a cutie! He took a lot of abuse from David during his visit ha ha.

Chuck, David and I went to visit my sister Amy at her and husband’s family’s lodge in Tennessee. It was so nice seeing Amy and John and getting to know John’s family. Amy and John showed us around the property (about 300 acres?) in a truck, then we took a hike along the river to a cave and a viewpoint bluff. Later, we had dinner with the family and enjoyed a very special bonfire.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Murray House. That morning we all watched the parade on t.v. while we had a nice breakfast. Later, Faith and I cooked while the boys enjoyed a little football.

As the meal cooked Mike, David and I took a trip to the park. David braved the monkey bars–wow he is getting strong!

After dinner we all did some clean up–what an effort! But the wonderful meal was worth it.

The day after Thanksgiving we went to a Christmas tree farm near our parent’s house. David liked looking at the animals with his Nana and Pop Pop.

David had fun with Daddy exploring the tree farm.
